As a writer of superhero narratives, I concur with a lot of this. But one of Marvel's achilles heels is that their fictional universe got too big, too fast. These kind of stories are more convincing if they are scaled properly and the jeopardy the characters faced is genuine rather than manufactured.
I 100% agree with everything here. Only, I think, unless I just made it make sense in my head, that the multiple timleines are causing the TVA to meltdown, not the multiverse... Episode 1 of Season 2 had me just as enthralled as Season 1, though the bait and switch did seem to wrap up Loki's problem too easily, as you said. But episode 2 just threw it all out the window, seemed to somehow have no stakes to me - the TVA civil war was ended in about five minutes of conflict, if that. Loki torturing Brad also didn't sit right with me, or the sudden use of his powers. It also was not communicated at all that at the end of episode 1, the 'rogue' TVA hunters were going to find Sylvie, but then between episodes Brad found her, did nothing but go and become an actor, while the rest of the hunters just decided to prune everytimline, instead of finding Sylvie...
You may be right, in which case it's a problem that it isn't clear! But if it's just the TVA in jeopardy, then send all the employees back to their timelines and let it blow up. (Also, strikes me as weird that Mobius didn't care to know where he was from. Seems misaligned with his earlier jet ski fascination). And yes, your final thoughts on the hunters and Brad are spot on.
Well that's the thing as well: do those employees actually have timelines, or would they be replacing someone else now? And yes I hope one day we see Mobius jetskiing his way through a happy life.
Want to read but skipped after first two paragraphs as I've not yet watched any of Loki S2. Will give more of a read after I've watched the season
Definitely do not read until you’ve watched!

I don't disagree with that or see it as in conflict with what I said.

Yes, it’s not clear whether Brad used to be an actor or just became one when he returns to the universe
